PIQUA, Ohio – Miami Valley Christian Academy concluded its 2025-26 season Saturday afternoon with a 64-41 loss to Botkins in the OHSAA Division VII District Championship at Piqua High School.

The Lions finished the year with a 19-5 overall record following another strong season that included a share of the Miami Valley Conference Gray Division title and a postseason run to the district final.

MVCA battled throughout the opening half before Botkins created separation in the second half against the Lions' fast paced attack.

Jude Rosen paced MVCA with nine points and eight rebounds, while Colin Gearding added eight points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Ryan Burns chipped in five points for the Lions.

Miami Valley Christian Academy advanced to the district championship after tournament victories over Lockland, Georgetown, and Fayetteville-Perry. The Lions averaged nearly 68 points per game this season while continuing to establish themselves as one of the top Division VII programs in the area.

Botkins improved to 22-3 with the win and advanced to the regional semifinals.
